If you’re an entrepreneur, you’re probably feeling like a lot of other business owners are these days.  You’re likely feeling overwhelmed, confused, or even a little scared.  You’re working harder than ever, and seeing less results, and what used to work … simply isn’t working any more.

If you’re feeling stuck right now, and you’re struggling with the challenges and choices facing you right now, it’s okay.  In fact, it’s completely normal.  You’re not alone, and in fact, you’re like most entrepreneurs these days.

What I want to do in this article is help you understand why it is that so many entrepreneurs are struggling in today’s climate – and then give you a powerful tool that you can use to regain the clarity and confidence you once had … and become the Engaged Entrepreneur.

Why It Really Is Different This Time …

A lot of people are quick to blame things on the tough economy, and that “people aren’t spending.”  It’s true that some of the challenges you face are because of this, but there’s a much more profound reason that things are different – and if you “get” this, you’re taking the first step to reinventing yourself as an entrepreneur, and forging a new path of success.

If you ask me, what’s really happening underneath all the bad news is that people’s buying decisions are shifting. The effects of the downturn we’ve gone through have literally changed the way that people are making decisions when it comes to money and investing.

Everyone is being more cautious.  They’re asking more questions, and thinking through the opportunity cost of spending their money.  The hype from all the folks I call the ‘Magic Pill Marketers’ is simply not having the effect that it once did.  I call this “The Shift”.

Think about it – have you changed how you make decisions when it comes to spending or investing money?  Again, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t made a shift in the way they make financial decisions.

Not one person.

I believe that this fact – that the psychology of buyers has fundamentally  changed – is one of the most important facts you need to understand if you are going to have a bright future as an entrepreneur.

The very fundamentals of how people are making decisions are changing, and they’re changing forever. Do you recognize how critical this is to “get” and understand?

I’m telling you, most entrepreneurs are completely oblivious to this fact.  They’re blaming the tough times in their business on the market, the economy, and other factors that are actually symptoms of the problem … but not the cause.  The real cause is The Shift that’s happening, that I mentioned before.

So, let me ask you a question – don’t you think that if the factors affecting every decision about money today are different than they were before … perhaps the business and marketing strategies you’re using in your business need to change as well?

I don’t know one single entrepreneur who isn’t facing some type of major challenge in today’s world.  Don’t get me wrong here – believe it or not, I’m actually an optimist and believe strongly in the power of positive thinking.

However, if your only strategy for success is hoping and praying that things get better, you’re on a dangerous road.

I believe that in your lifetime, you will encounter only a small handful of these “game-changing shifts” – the kind of massive and total force that can’t be stopped, like a tsunami.   And whether you ride that powerful wave to business success and wealth … or you get crushed by the massive and violent power … is based on your ability to react in the right way.

Now, Let’s Consider Where You Are Now ... Do You Even Know?

Before I can show you the solution to these challenges, I want you to really think about how your life is right now, and what it could be like if you were able to eliminate some of the biggest frustrations and challenges from your business.

I’m talking brutal honesty about where you are right now – because that’s the first step in creating change and progress.  Frankly, it’s impossible for you to successfully get to where you want to go, until you are truly clear about where you are right now.  Let me explain why.

For a minute, let’s assume that I have a very simple map that shows you exactly where to go in order to find a secret “buried treasure.” Most people think that if they only had a map like that, their problems would be solved.

And this makes sense, right? Obviously, if I could just find the map that shows me exactly where I want to get to, that would eliminate me from having to do all the thinking and work, and allow me to get exactly where I want to be.

Not true!

Because here’s the problem: Even if I give you a simple map to follow that shows you exactly how to “find the treasure” ... the map is useless if you don’t know where you’re starting from!

I call it …

The Point “A” Problem

You see, most people are trying to learn how to “go from Point A to Point B”… yet they have no idea where Point ‘A’ even is, or how they got there!

In other words, they started out with good intentions, and thought they understood where they were headed.

They were excited and passionate about their idea… but as time passed, things got more complicated … the frustrations mounted … and suddenly, they felt like they were 1,000 miles away from where they intended to be.

Can You Relate To This?

If you’re like most entrepreneurs, I’m sure you can – all of us go through this at some point.

Based on working with thousands of entrepreneurs in my training and coaching businesses, I would estimate that more than 95% of entrepreneurs never get clear on where they are – and therefore find it impossible to create a successful plan to get where they want to be.

In my opinion, this is the single greatest limiting factor that stops them from ever breaking through with their business.

If you’re not where you want to be as an entrepreneur right now, my guess is that a key reason is that you’re not absolutely, 100% crystal clear on where you are right now, and what specific things have to change in order to remove the constraints and bottlenecks that are holding you back.

You can keep trying to throw new marketing strategies and fantastic new products and services at the problem … but nothing will work until you’ve gotten clarity.

And this is one of the biggest gaps in the training and education that most “gurus” are teaching – they promise to show you the yellow brick road to riches, but they never talk about the “Point ‘A’ Problem” … mostly because they don’t even recognize this problem themselves.

How To Move From Exhausted …To Engaged!

After many years of mentoring and teaching entrepreneurs how to create breakthroughs in their business, I’ve written a very powerful “manifesto” that reveals the underlying challenges that face most entrepreneurs, and most importantly … what to do about them.

This special report, “The Point ‘A’ Problem”, is 30 powerful pages long, and provides you a very detailed blueprint of what it takes to break through the challenges you’re having in your business, and the 4 key areas that you absolutely must focus on if you want to build a powerful company or organization.

It’s absolutely free, and it will truly get you started on the path towards becoming the Engaged Entrepreneur.

You’ve probably heard the saying, “to get different results … you have to do things differently”.  This report shines a spotlight on the hidden problems in your business, and then gives you the blueprint of how to make those changes, and unleash the Engaged Entrepreneur within you.
